Happy Valentine's Day!

Hearts, sprinkles, and heart sprinkles.

The word "sprinkles" is even fun to say :)

FACT: It's hard not being happy while making it rain red heart sprinkles over red velvet cupcakes.
If only Valentine's Day was everyday!

Lola Pearl bakes lemon meringue pie birthday cupcakes!

These cupcakes were a birthday present to myself with love. A delicious, moist lemon cake is filled with homemade lemon curd, and then topped with a traditional french meringue. (Toasted for 5 minutes in the oven for that authentic lemon meringue pie experience!)

I couldn't resist taking this picture of my pup, eyeing the cupcake as I stuffed my face ;)

Have you ever???

A recent conversation with a colleague, regarding recipes and how important it is for a baker to familiarize themselves with the steps when conquering a new technique, got me thinking: Have you ever done something like misread the directions and put the temperature at 400 instead of 300?? What do you do next? Redo the batch or deal with it and eat what you've made? Talk about anger management!! Pin It
